This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity.This PET Technologist will be responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.PET Technologist Responsibilities:Performing high-quality diagnostic proceduresKnowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive MaterialsProtecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposureComplying with mandatory education and health requirements.Experience Requirements:1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting Required1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required1-2 years Radioactive Material Experience Required3-5 years Knowledge of Federal and State RegulationsEducation & Credential Requirements:Vocational SchoolCertified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT)-NMTCB Required OrLicensed Nuclear Medical Technologist –ARRT Required OrRegistered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Required OrBasic Life Support (BLS)-AHA RequiredThe PET/CT Technologist will be located at Baptist Health.
