Accounting AssistantResponsible for assisting with accounting of the agency.Responsibilities And DutiesAssists with some accounting function for the agency.Assists with generating agency reports with management system.Processes accounts payable and receivable for the agency.Regular and reliable attendance.Assists with other job-related duties as assigned by manager.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesKnowledge of accounting practices.Knowledge of insurance system.Skill in accounting reports.Skill in accounts receivable and payable.Skill in writing and oral communication.Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.Ability to multi-task, and function as a team player.Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.Education And ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent.Accounting experience 1 – 2 years or education equivalent.Physical RequirementsSeeing: 75 - 100%Must be able to greet customers, read documents, use computerHearing: 75% - 100%Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers in personand on the telephone.Standing/Walking: 25-49%Must be able to visit with the employees, go to areas of the office to use copier & fax machines, etc.Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 25-49%Must be able to kneel or stoop to file in cabinets.Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: 75% - 100%Must be able to use computer, write and place paperwork in file folders.Physical Dimensions: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry or otherwise move objects. Job involves sitting most of the time and walking and standing some of the time.
