Job description
A compounding pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract to hire arrangement in Burlington, NC. This role offers hands-on experience preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions, working closely with healthcare teams to deliver personalized patient care.
Schedule and Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Every third Saturday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to address patient-specific pharmaceutical needs
Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions following safety and quality standards
Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory effectively
Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to optimize patient health outcomes
Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy technicians
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist in North Carolina
1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply
Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards
Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing
Experience or willingness to learn pharmacy software similar to QS1 (training provided)
