Job description
A major 500-bed hospital seeks a Pharmacist to support its inpatient pharmacy team in York, PA. This contract role offers an immediate start and extends for 13 weeks or longer, with a variable schedule including days and afternoons.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and timely
Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure workflow efficiency
Consult with physicians on medication therapy and patient care
Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize dosing
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for order management and inventory control
Qualifications: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis technology
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clinical teams
Schedule/Hours: Variable shifts including days and afternoons
