Job description
A healthcare facility in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Night Pharmacist to support their pediatric hospital pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a specialized environment focused on children's healthcare with a consistent night schedule, ideal for candidates versed in hospital pharmacy and pediatric patient care.
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: 7 nights on, 7 nights off / 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks +
System Experience: EPIC, Omnicell
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review, dispense, and verify medication orders during night hours in a pediatric hospital setting.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication usage tailored to pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing considerations.
Utilize hospital IT systems, including EPIC and Omnicell, for medication order processing and inventory management.
Provide expert guidance on medication therapies and monitor patient responses during the overnight shift.
Desired Qualifications: Active Illinois Pharmacist license required.
Proven hospital pharmacy experience, especially within pediatric care.
Comfort and proficiency with weight-based pediatric dosing methods.
Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
