This position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to take on a critical role within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Working primarily overnight shifts, this role focuses on ensuring the safe and effective use of medications while collaborating closely with healthcare professionals.

Location: Cicero, IL

Job Type: Contract (13 weeks +)

Schedule:

7 days on, 7 days off

9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities: Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations

Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support

Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy

Apply principles of pharmacokinetics for individualized patient care

Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems proficiently for medication management and documentation

Desired Experience and Qualifications: Valid pharmacist license and current credentials

Experience with overnight hospital or institutional pharmacy practice preferred

Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during night shifts
