Job description
Pharmacy Supervisor

Is consulted for their expertise in the clinical or operational practice area and supervises a team and/or program in a pharmacy specialty area.
Responsibilities include: supervising the activities of a clinical and/or operational team or program, coordinating a Pharmacy team's/program's activities, developing and maintaining a training program, teaching students, residents and new pharmacy staff, providing formal and informal work performance feedback, managing priorities, creating and maintaining policies and procedures, providing clinical and operational pharmacist services, identifying and implementing clinical pathway and/or operational process improvement initiatives, developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, participating in candidate interviews and selection, and supporting compliance with federal, state, local and institutional policies, procedures, standards and regulations.
Education Requirements: PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment. Professional Experience Requirements: Two years of prior pharmacist experience or equivalent required. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System, in a department that provides shared services to operations across UNC Health Care; except that, if you are currently a UNCHCS State employee already working in a designated shared services department, you may remain a UNCHCS State employee if selected for this job.
