Job description
A pharmacy role is available for an experienced pharmacist to support medication management and clinical services in a healthcare setting. This 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with varied pharmacy hours, including weekdays and weekends.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities.
Inspect packaged medications, including blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile products.
Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice providers, and physicians, addressing clinical questions.
Conduct controlled substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation.
Review emergency medication boxes ensuring proper stocking and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; prior experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred.
Proficiency with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC.
Ability to perform sitting, standing, fine motor tasks, and visual acuity requirements; able to lift up to 30 pounds.
