nInsight Global is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with sterile compounding experience to support a high-compliance pharmacy environment. This individual will serve as the pharmacy's designated PIC while providing leadership across sterile compounding operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, prescription verification, inventory management, and staff oversight.
nThis role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys a blend of hands-on clinical work, operational leadership, and regulatory responsibility.
nResponsibilities
nPharmacy Operations & Compliance
nServe as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and maintain accountability for pharmacy operations
nEnsure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations
nPrepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits
nDevelop, maintain, and enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
nMonitor quality assurance initiatives and patient safety programs
nMaintain accurate documentation and operational records
nSterile Compounding
nReview prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, and compatibility
nPrepare and verify compounded sterile preparations in accordance with established procedures
nEnsure compliance with USP standards and applicable regulatory guidelines
nUtilize aseptic technique and sterile workflow best practices
nReview compounding records and batch documentation
nSupport environmental monitoring and quality control processes
nVerify labeling, packaging, and final product accuracy
nLeadership & Staff Management
nSupervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
nProvide training, coaching, and ongoing performance support
nPromote adherence to SOPs and quality standards
nAssist with staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
nFoster a collaborative and compliant work environment
nInventory & Medication Management
nMaintain medication inventory and oversee purchasing activities
nEnsure appropriate storage and handling of medications
nMonitor controlled substance inventory and documentation
nPrevent medication shortages while controlling waste
nClinical Support
nProvide medication counseling and patient education
nCollaborate with providers regarding medication therapy questions
nParticipate in medication safety initiatives
nServe as a subject matter expert for compounded sterile preparations

nSkills and Requirements
nDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
nActive pharmacist license in the state of practice
nPrevious sterile compounding experience
nStrong knowledge of USP standards
nExperience utilizing aseptic technique within a cleanroom environment
nKnowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
nStrong attention to detail and documentation skills
nExcellent communication and leadership abilities
nAbility to work independently and within a team environment Previous Pharmacist-in-Charge experience
nExperience within specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or compounding pharmacy environments
nFamiliarity with USP standards
nExperience supporting Board of Pharmacy inspections
nExperience training and mentoring pharmacy technicians
nMulti-state pharmacy licensure
nExperience with controlled substance management and auditing
