Job description
Join an opportunity to provide expert pharmacy care in a community hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with inpatient experience, ready to support patient health in a dynamic environment.
Location:
Bakersfield, CA (Travel opportunity)
45-bed community hospital
Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Variable days and afternoon shifts starting at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM
Duration: 13-week contract beginning ASAP
Key Responsibilities: Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
Utilize Cerner IT system for medication management and documentation
Monitor patient responses and advise on safe medication practices
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
Desired Qualifications: Active California Pharmacist license
2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Proficiency with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and fast-paced hospital environment
