Job description
A specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) activities in an onsite production role. This position is based in Denham Springs, LA with work performed in the Baton Rouge area. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This contract-to-hire opportunity requires a pharmacist licensed in Louisiana. Candidates licensed in one of the following states who are willing to reciprocate for a Louisiana license are also encouraged to apply: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Medication Therapy Management and related specialty pharmacy production tasks onsite
Review prescriptions and ensure compliance with protocols and regulations
Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications/Desired Experience: Hold an active pharmacist license in Louisiana or one of the accepted states with the willingness to obtain Louisiana licensure
Experience working in retail or specialty pharmacy settings
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently onsite
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Location: Denham Springs, Louisiana (work performed onsite in Baton Rouge)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
