Pharmacist (RPH) - Long-Term Care Pharmacy
Location: Morrisville, NC
Shift Options:
Option 1: Monday-Friday, 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM, rotating every 4th weekend (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Option 2: 7 On / 7 Off Schedule (Wednesday night-Tuesday), with weekday night shifts and weekend daytime shifts
About the Role
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist (RPH) to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced long-term care environment. The Pharmacist will ensure accurate medication dispensing, regulatory compliance, staff oversight, and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with state, federal, DEA, HIPAA, and pharmacy regulations
Supervise pharmacy technicians and workflow operations
Perform clinical review for drug interactions, allergies, and therapy appropriateness
Oversee medication dispensing, packaging, and labeling
Assist with controlled substance inventory management
Support sterile IV preparation and verification
Participate in evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as required
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
Active Pharmacist license in good standing
Strong knowledge of drug interactions, allergies, and clinical pharmacy practices
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Our client is currently seeking a Pharmacist/28/PHM025
