Evening Pharmacist
Location: East Berlin, CT (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM; Every Other Weekend, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60.00 per Hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Evening Pharmacist to join our long-term care pharmacy team in East Berlin, CT . This onsite role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications while providing leadership and support to pharmacy staff.
Position Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting pharmacy management goals and overseeing evening pharmacy operations. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily pharmacy workflow, production goals, and deadlines.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of prescription orders, medication labels, packaging, and dispensing activities.
Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to workflow requirements.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, DEA, HIPAA, and company regulations and policies.
Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of sterile IV medications.
Assist with controlled substance ordering, receiving, documentation, storage, and inventory management.
Monitor and maintain daily workflow dashboard metrics.
Provide evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as assigned.
Support employee development through coaching, performance feedback, and leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Active Pharmacist license in good standing.
Strong clinical knowledge of: Drug-drug interactions
Drug-disease interactions
Drug-food interactions
Allergy screening and intervention
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (7-10 hours per shift).

Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching as needed.
Ability to work extended hours when required.
