Job description
A Pharmacist is needed for a 13-week contract assignment at a small Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Forest, VA, with an ASAP start. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in a facility averaging about 10 patients per day, offering a unique setting to apply and develop hospital pharmacy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and safely to LTAC patients
Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
Manage pharmaceutical inventories and maintain compliance with regulations
Provide drug information and counseling to medical staff
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Virginia Pharmacist license required
Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Strong knowledge of medication management in a clinical setting
Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday
