Job description
A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team with daily operations. This role involves providing expert medication management services in a small hospital setting with a patient census of approximately 10 per day. The position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, ideal for professionals seeking a consistent full-time commitment.

Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks minimum
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Day shifts
Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapies
Monitor and document patient medication progress and any adverse reactions
Assist in inventory management and medication procurement
Provide consultation and education to medical staff regarding medication use
Desired Qualifications: Active Virginia Pharmacist license is required
Previous hospital experience preferred, familiarity with LTAC settings a plus
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with clinical teams
Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
