Job description
A contracted travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Fort Bragg, CA, offering a 26-week assignment with an ASAP start. This role supports a hospital environment with a 4-days-per-week schedule of 10-hour day shifts. The position provides valuable experience in a busy clinical setting, including potential exposure to chemotherapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily workflow
Collaborate and consult with nursing staff and physicians for optimal patient care
Participate in medication management during the hospital's transition to EPIC electronic health records
Utilize systems such as Cerner and Omnicell for pharmacy operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California pharmacist license
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols is a strong plus
Competent in or willing to learn Cerner and EPIC software systems
Full-time availability for the assignment duration
Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
