PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
Location: Fresno CA 93726 - 100% on-site
Payrate: $65.75/hr
Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist will responsible for safely dispensing medications, counseling patients, maintaining accurate records, and supporting pharmacy operations. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES: Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
Monitor medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns.
Counsel patients regarding medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, interactions, and proper use.
Provide guidance on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to established procedures.
Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
Monitor and maintain appropriate pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff.
Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other healthcare professionals.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS : Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
Current state pharmacist license required.
Previous experience supervising pharmacy technicians or clerical pharmacy staff.
Experience providing patient counseling on medications and medical devices.
Experience with medication compounding and sterile preparations.
