Job description
A well-established 500-bed hospital is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting with a focus on oncology and chemotherapy medications. The role begins ASAP and is expected to last approximately 13 weeks, with a variable schedule that includes daytime and afternoon shifts.
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, collaborating with physicians, and managing pharmacokinetics to optimize patient care. You will utilize your experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems to ensure accurate medication dispensing and documentation. This position requires strong knowledge of oncology and chemotherapy medications to effectively support specialized patient needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Several years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system (mandatory)
Experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications
Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems
Ability to supervise technicians and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Location: York, PA area
Schedule/Hours: Variable schedule including daytime and afternoon shifts
