Job description
A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 160-bed community hospital in Lebanon, PA, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment to apply hospital pharmacy expertise. This 13-week contract begins ASAP, providing 40 hours per week with shifts scheduled between 6 AM and 7 PM, including every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations
Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff for optimal patient care
Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge to support medication management
Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Support chemotherapy handling as needed, enhancing patient treatment plans
Qualifications: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
Previous hospital pharmacy experience essential
Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
Exposure to chemotherapy protocols is a significant advantage
Strong communication and teamwork skills within a clinical environment
Schedule: 40 hours per week, with shifts between 6 AM and 7 PM
Work every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
