Job description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work in a rehab hospital setting in the Boston area. This contract position is ideal for pharmacists who are licensed in Massachusetts, including retail pharmacists and new graduates eager to gain experience in a clinical environment. The role offers stability and the chance to work with advanced healthcare technology, including Epic and Pyxis systems.
Location: Brockton, MA (Boston area)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks+
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense and distribute medications within the rehab hospital setting
Use of Epic and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
Conduct medication reviews and provide guidance on pharmaceutical use
Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies
Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in Massachusetts (MA license required)
Experience in retail pharmacy acceptable; new graduates encouraged to apply
Familiarity with electronic medical systems such as Epic and automated dispensing systems like Pyxis is preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
