nKey Responsibilities:
nMedication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
nPatient Counseling: Provide thorough guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
nRegulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
nControlled Substances Management: Maintain precise records and responsibly manage controlled substances.
nStaff Training: Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices.
nCollaborative Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
nInventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.
nInsurance Processing: Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements.
nCustomer Service: Professionally address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns.
nJob Requirements:
nRequired: Valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.
nRequired: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
nPreferred: 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
nSkills:
nIn-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
nProficiency in pharmacy management software.
nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
nStrong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
nDedication to providing outstanding patient care.
nPreferred Qualifications:
nCertification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
nExperience in inventory management and implementing cost-saving measures.
nProven success in managing a pharmacy team effectively.
