Job description
An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support a 340B pharmacy setting in a key interim role. This onsite position will be based in California and New York with final location details pending, offering a contract duration of 3 to 6 months. The schedule consists of day and afternoon shifts.
This role calls for a seasoned professional prepared to assume full PIC responsibilities, stepping in seamlessly should a current PIC resign. The ideal candidate will hold active pharmacist licenses in multiple states, with a preference for those licensed in AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Manage and support pharmacy staff to maintain quality patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for 340B program requirements
Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and internal teams
Desired Qualifications: Active pharmacist licensure in multiple states, ideally among the listed states
Proven experience serving as a Pharmacist in Charge within 340B or similar environments
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new teams and processes in interim assignments
Commitment to regulatory compliance and pharmacy best practices
