Job description

This opportunity centers on a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) role to lead the licensure and operational launch of a specialty mail-order pharmacy focused on hormone replacement therapies (HRT). Located in Lancaster, PA, this temp-to-hire position is ideal for a pharmacist ready to drive a new pharmacy's licensing process and build its pharmacy operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the named PIC for the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy licensure application and guide the pharmacy through submission, inspection, and approval phases

Collaborate with the build-out team to ensure compliance with all Board of Pharmacy facility requirements

Develop and author all standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and protocols before pharmacy opening

Manage all pharmacy operations post-launch including dispensing, mail order fulfillment, and quality assurance

Oversee DEA registration and controlled substance compliance programs

Ensure ongoing audit readiness and serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections

Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff as the operation grows

Qualifications & Desired Experience: PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license in excellent standing-no past disciplinary actions

Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience with prior PIC experience strongly preferred

Proven success leading Pennsylvania pharmacy licensure applications and passing Board inspections

Specialized knowledge in hormone replacement therapy, compounding, or related specialty pharmacy practice

Experience in new pharmacy launches, including SOP development, regulatory readiness, and operational oversight

Strong DEA compliance knowledge and experience managing controlled substances

Willingness to pursue multi-state pharmacy licensure as the company expands

Entrepreneurial spirit comfortable in a pre-operational, build-out environment

Location: Lancaster, PA (mail order pharmacy)

Schedule: To be determined based on operational needs
