Job description
A newly established specialty pharmacy focused on GLP1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead and grow its operations. This permanent PIC role offers the unique opportunity to shape a recently built pharmacy that has insourced compounding previously outsourced. Located in the Las Vegas area, this position is integral to establishing a high standard of regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring full compliance with USP , , FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations
Oversee sterile compounding workflows, personnel management, and quality assurance programs
Manage multi-state pharmacy compliance, focusing on Nevada and California regulatory requirements
Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
Hire, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to build a skilled team
Lead pharmacy inspections, audits, and collaborate with regulatory consultants for compliance optimization
Supervise environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation programs
Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations
Work closely with leadership on business expansion, strategic planning, and licensing initiatives
Maintain accurate records ensuring inspection readiness at all times
Desired Qualifications: Active Nevada pharmacist license; California license is a strong advantage due to business presence in CA
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit and mentor pharmacy staff
Knowledge of multi-state pharmacy regulations and sterile compounding standards
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Willingness to obtain additional licenses as the pharmacy expands
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts
