Job description
A pharmacy professional is needed to take on a critical role within a 250-bed hospital setting. This opportunity offers a dynamic environment requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to variable schedules. The position involves travel and could potentially transition from contract to permanent employment.
Location: Redding, CA (travel required; relocation flexibility encouraged)
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Variable days and afternoon shifts
Responsibilities: Order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance
Supervising pharmacy technicians and overseeing daily pharmacy operations
Providing expert consultation to physicians and nursing staff
Applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care
Utilizing IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell to support pharmacy functions
Qualifications / Desired Experience: Active California pharmacist license required
Willingness to travel and work in northern California locations
Positive attitude and effective communication skills
Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) residency preferred but not mandatory
