Job description
A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide critical support at a 250-bed community hospital in Northern Indiana. This role offers the potential for extension and is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a dynamic inpatient setting.
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
2nd shift hours: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Possible flexibility for a 7-on/7-off schedule
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication regimens
Apply pharmacokinetic principles for individualized patient care
Support inpatient pharmacy operations adhering to hospital protocols and standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Active pharmacist license with credentials to practice in Indiana
Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy preferred
Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead pharmacy technicians effectively
Comfortable managing high-volume medication order processing and consultations
