Job description
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Pennsylvania pharmacist with hospital experience seeking a travel assignment in Lebanon, PA. The position supports a 160-bed community hospital, providing essential pharmacy services within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Location: Lebanon, PA
Position Type: Contract (13 weeks+)
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Every 3rd or 4th Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication management
Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments tailored to patient needs
Utilize EPIC electronic health record and Pyxis automated dispensing system effectively
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Prior pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis systems
Exposure to chemotherapy protocols is highly desirable
