Job description
An opportunity is available for a Night Pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital located near Hendersonville, TN, approximately 30 miles northeast of Nashville. This role involves working the night shift, providing essential pharmacy services within a hospital setting, and ensuring safe and effective medication use.
Schedule:
7 nights on, 7 nights off
10-hour shifts
Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and timely
Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and safety standards
Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient therapy
Consult with physicians and nursing staff to provide medication recommendations and address any concerns
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications / Desired Experience: Current Tennessee pharmacist license
Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and hospital pharmacy operations
Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals
Flexibility and willingness to travel to support different hospital locations as needed
