Job description
A well-established 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX, seeks a qualified Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with hospital experience and a valid Texas pharmacist license.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, verify, and dispense medications accurately, ensuring patient safety.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy.
Manage IV preparations using MedKeeper and maintain accurate medication records.
Utilize Meditech and Omnicell systems for efficient pharmacy operations.
Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating schedule (every 4th weekend).
Adapt to varying shift schedules, including potential transition to second shift (10-hour shifts from 11:45 AM to 10:15 PM).
Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Texas.
Proven hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Comfortable using Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems.
Flexibility with scheduling and shift changes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule: Monday to Friday day shifts starting between 7 AM and 9 AM.
Weekend coverage every fourth weekend.
Potential shift change to 2nd shift hours (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM).
