Job description
Provide expert pharmacy services as a Pharmacist in an outpatient retail setting attached to a hospital in Willits, CA. This contract role focuses on patient safety and medication accuracy, ensuring high-quality service in prescription fulfillment and counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and verify prescriptions in a timely manner.
Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians.
Counsel patients on prescription medications and over-the-counter (OTC) products, addressing questions and concerns.
Maintain compliance with hospital and pharmacy policies.
Utilize Cerner pharmacy information systems effectively.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California Pharmacist license.
Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Cerner technology is a plus.
Schedule: Primarily day shifts, providing predictable and manageable work hours.
Location: Willits, CA (Outpatient pharmacy setting connected to a hospital)
Contract Details: Duration of 16 weeks or longer, with a prompt start date.
