Job description
A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 160-bed community hospital in Lebanon, PA. This role requires a licensed Pharmacist with hospital experience, ready for an immediate start. The position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek with shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., including coverage every third or fourth Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses, and managing pharmacokinetics. Experience with hospital information systems such as EPIC and Pyxis is essential to efficiently navigate daily operations. Exposure to chemotherapy protocols will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
Background in hospital pharmacy settings
Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis systems
Familiarity with chemotherapy practices preferred
Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with clinical staff
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Days shift between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
