Job description
A unique opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to serve in a tribal clinic/hospital setting in Arizona. This night shift Emergency Department Pharmacist role offers a true decentralized practice environment, providing clinical pharmacy services directly within the ED. The position operates on a 7-on, 7-off night shift rotation, with 10-hour shifts that support work-life balance.
This role does not require an Arizona Pharmacist license due to the tribal facility status, making it accessible to qualified pharmacists from other jurisdictions. Candidates must have clinical experience and be willing to obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications to support emergency care. Familiarity with residency training or hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred.

Tribal clinic/hospital in Mesa, Arizona

Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off
10-hour night shifts
Responsibilities: Provide clinical pharmacy services within the Emergency Department
Manage medication therapy and collaborate with the healthcare team in a decentralized role
Respond to emergency situations and support patient care with appropriate certifications
Qualifications: Pharmacist license (any state)
Clinical experience in hospital or emergency department settings
Willingness to work at a remote tribal clinic location
Positive attitude and adaptability to a unique healthcare environment
Commitment to obtaining BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Additional Information: Experience with RPMS, the proprietary IT system used by IHS and tribal facilities, is beneficial. It closely resembles the VA's Vista system.
