Job description
A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 250-bed community hospital near Mishawaka, IN. This role offers a dynamic inpatient setting within a Northern Indiana hospital, with potential to extend beyond the initial assignment.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
2nd shift: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Option may be available for a 7 on/7 off rotation
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
Perform pharmacokinetic calculations and monitoring
Contribute to medication management and safety in the inpatient setting
Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations
Strong knowledge of medication order verification processes
Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
Experience with supervising pharmacy technicians and conducting pharmacokinetics
