Job description
An outpatient/retail pharmacist position is available in Willits, CA, attached to a hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers day shift work and a chance to engage with patients directly while managing pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and verify prescriptions
Provide supervision and oversight of pharmacy technicians
Counsel patients on prescription medications and over-the-counter (OTC) products
Utilize Cerner pharmacy information systems effectively
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California pharmacist license
Experience working in retail pharmacy settings preferred
Strong communication skills, especially for patient counseling
Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain workflow
Comfortable working in an outpatient environment linked to a hospital
Schedule: Day shifts
Location: Willits, CA
This contract assignment is expected to last approximately 16 weeks or longer, with a preference for candidates who can start promptly.
