Job description
A prominent, high-volume hospital with over 500 beds within the Texas Medical Center is seeking a skilled pharmacist to join their dynamic inpatient pharmacy team. This position offers a contract opportunity with a potential pathway to permanent employment. The role requires a dedicated professional ready to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Location:
Katy, TX (Texas Medical Center area)
Schedule: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Utilize the EPIC system for medication management and documentation.
Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information as needed.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist in Texas.
Texas IV certification is required.
Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
