Job description
A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role focuses on delivering expert pharmaceutical care in a Level 1 trauma center environment, supporting Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units.
Location: New Orleans, LA (Kenner area)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting July 14
Shift: Day shift, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., every other week (EOW)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services to critically ill patients in CV ICU and Medical ICU2
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy outcomes
Utilize EMR system (EPIC) to document and monitor patient medications
Support trauma care protocols with expert pharmaceutical knowledge
Qualifications / Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist in Louisiana
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a critical care setting, within a Level 1 trauma hospital
PGY-2 residency training highly preferred, but not mandatory
Board Certification preferred, but not required
Proficient with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
