Job description
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Pharmacist seeking to contribute expertise in an outpatient pharmacy environment. Located in Willits, CA, this role supports a retail pharmacy attached to a hospital, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care and ensuring patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and verify prescription orders
Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications
Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and protocols
Utilize Cerner pharmacy information systems for efficient workflow
Qualifications and Experience: Current California pharmacist license is required
Experience working in retail pharmacy settings preferred
Strong communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
Schedule and Location: Day shift hours, providing a balanced workday
Position is based in Willits, CA, offering an outpatient pharmacy setting attached to a hospital
Additional Details: This is a contract position with a duration of 16 weeks or longer
