Job description
A permanent opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist at a non-compounding, closed-door pharmacy environment in Elizabethtown, PA. This role offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no weekend shifts required, ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance.
Responsibilities include the accurate evaluation, preparation, and dispensing of medications in accordance with professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal regulations. The pharmacist will also perform medication reconciliation when possible to ensure continuity of care for patients upon discharge. Providing excellent customer service and clinical care is essential in this role. Additionally, the pharmacist will consult with patients about their prescribed medications, including dosage, frequency, and potential drug interactions.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
Experience in a retail or closed-door pharmacy setting
Strong knowledge of medication dispensing protocols and legal requirements
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams
