Job description
A full-time pharmacist position is available for a contract role based onsite in Lawrenceville, GA, focused on high-volume central fill pharmacy operations. This opportunity involves verifying a substantial backlog at a fast pace for the majority of each shift, requiring strong attention to detail and stamina in a demanding environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing final verification of prescriptions in a high-volume central fill setting
Managing a significant daily processing volume efficiently and accurately
Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and fellow pharmacists as part of a busy team
Maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards during verification
Participating fully onsite to support the rapid processing requirements and backlog management
Qualifications and experience desired: Active Georgia pharmacist license (mandatory)
Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment with rapid prescription verification
Familiarity with central fill pharmacy operations, including backlog handling, is highly valued
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and demanding workload with a focus on accuracy
Maryland license is a beneficial addition but not required
Willingness and availability to attend a comprehensive two-hour onsite interview with the pharmacy team in Lawrenceville
Schedule details: Initial training includes a minimum of 15 hours alongside current pharmacists, generally scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., over several half-day shifts
Following training, a 40-hour weekly schedule with flexible shift options across a 24/7 window
Opportunities available to increase hours beyond 40 per week if desired
