Job description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a pharmacist seeking to apply their expertise within a 160-bed community hospital. This contract position based in Lebanon, PA offers a dynamic work environment where professional skills are valued and patient-focused care is paramount.
Schedule & Hours:
40 hours per week
Shift hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Work every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders with precision and accuracy
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
Consult effectively with physicians and nurses regarding patient care
Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize therapeutic outcomes
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
Exposure to chemotherapy protocols is a plus but not mandatory
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
