Job Title: Pharmacist- Long Term Care Address: Norfolk, VA Job Description Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, verifying completeness and correctness of labels and orders. Maintain resident database with current medical history, clinical data, and medication records. Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documenting, and storing controlled substances, including maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs. Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians to reconcile inventory and ensure regulatory compliance. Respond to drug-related questions and concerns from staff and external contacts, providing clinical expertise. Document all communication with healthcare providers, staff, residents, and families in medical records. Supervise or prepare sterile IV drug products and solutions as required. Critical Information Shift options: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, rotating weekends. On-site work environment. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Includes compliance with HIPAA and federal/state regulations. Education/Licenses Needed Current Pharmacist license active and in good standing in Virginia.
