Job description
This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume setting, who is open to a temporary contract assignment. The role supports a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy managing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.

Marietta, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday
1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
40 hours per week
ASAP start
Responsibilities: Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) processes
Final verification of prescriptions ensuring accuracy of medication and directions
Verify prescription information against hard-copy documents
Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (no automation involved)
Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
Support high-volume workflow efficiently without requiring on-call duties
Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years of pharmacy experience in a high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing prescription orders
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations preferred
Comfortable working the designated evening shift hours
This contract role is initially set for 13 weeks with the potential to convert to contract-to-hire, offering a chance to gain valuable experience in a specialty pharmacy environment.
