Job description
A community hospital located on Cape Cod is seeking a qualified pharmacist to cover the night shift. This 200-bed facility, approximately 70 miles south of Boston, requires a professional who can handle the fast-paced demands of a hospital pharmacy and provide excellent patient care during overnight hours.
Location:
Mashpee, MA (Cape Cod area)
Schedule: Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
7 days on, 7 days off
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians
Conduct pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
Provide consultation to physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and electronic documentation
Desired Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Strong knowledge of medication verification and pharmacokinetics
Ability to work independently during night shifts and effectively communicate with clinical teams
Additional Information: The contract position offers the opportunity to engage deeply with hospital pharmacy operations in a community setting.
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system and Pyxis automated dispensing is essential.
