This role emphasizes ensuring the appropriate dispensing and management of prescriptions, monitoring patient compliance, and maintaining confidential records. Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
Accept and dispense prescription medications
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
Ensure the suitability of medicines prescribed to patients
Accurately maintain confidential patient records
Advise patients on medication usage and potential reactions
Provide consultation on various medications and manage drug interactions
Offer patient services like smoking cessation and blood pressure measurement
Educate patients on medical devices usage
Compound and prepare sterile solutions as needed
Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical supplies
Identify and communicate drug-related issues with physicians
Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to ensure quality care
Requirements of the Pharmacist
Wisconsin RPh license
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Licensed by the state pharmacy board
