Job Title: PharmacistJob Description
nThis role is responsible for leading the continuation of pharmacy management goals and objectives within a high-volume dispensing pharmacy. The Pharmacist provides routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, information processing, and accurate dispensing services across various drug distribution systems. The position requires strong management skills, exceptional accuracy, and a commitment to safety to ensure that the appropriate drug products reach patients efficiently and reliably.
nResponsibilities
nnnExecute day-to-day pharmacy operations to meet workflow requirements, production quotas, and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
n
nnEnsure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy, including adherence to the strictest applicable DEA policies and procedures.
n
nnMaintain compliance with all third-party payer contract rules and regulations that govern pharmacy operations.
n
nnSupervise pharmacy production staff to ensure accurate order entry, efficient workflow, secure handling of medications, and adherence to delivery schedules.
n
nnVerify completeness and accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, labels, and orders prior to dispensing.
n
nnCheck the content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling to ensure correct medications, dosages, and instructions.
n
nnPrepare and/or supervise the preparation of all sterile IV drug products and solutions in accordance with applicable standards and protocols.
n
nnAssist with the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances.
n
nnHelp maintain a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs and support accurate controlled substance recordkeeping.
n
nnProvide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as part of the scheduled on-call rotation and as required by management.
n
nnEnsure the workflow dashboard is cleared daily so that all orders and tasks are completed within expected timeframes.

nnFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
n
nnWork overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected to meet operational needs.
n
nnComply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
n
nnProvide employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback to support performance and development.

n nEssential Skills
nnnBachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
n
nnCurrent license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
n
nnProficiency in clinical interpretation, including drugdrug, drugdisease, drugfood interactions, and allergy considerations.
n
nnExperience in retail pharmacy, health care, or pharmacy benefits management environments.
n
nnProficiency in drug dispensing, fulfillment, and inventory management processes.
n
nnAbility to perform accurate and efficient dispensing of prescription medications.
n
nnStrong data entry skills with attention to detail in processing prescriptions and related information.
n
nnAbility to handle prior authorization processes and related pharmacy benefit activities.
n
nnCustomer service skills with the ability to support patients, providers, and internal teams professionally.
n
nnAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

nnExcellent interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication abilities.

n nWork Environment
nThis role is based in a dispensing pharmacy environment that supports high-volume prescription processing and drug distribution. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with rotation through every fourth weekend. The weekend shift runs from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Team members may sit or stand for 7 to 10 hours per day and may occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, or crawl intermittently. Extended hours may be necessary based on operational needs, and overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required or expected. Employees may lift and move up to 25 pounds as part of routine duties. The work environment requires adherence to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code, and involves consistent compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements while working with pharmacy technologies, dispensing systems, and inventory management tools.

nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
