Job description
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to contribute expert pharmaceutical care in a busy hospital setting in the Oakland/San Francisco area. This contract position is ideal for a licensed California pharmacist ready to engage in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team. Location: Oakland, CA (San Francisco area hospital)
Schedule/Hours:
Variable days/afternoons
Mostly 8-hour shifts
Responsibilities: Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight
Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies and clinical interventions
Utilize hospital information systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current California Pharmacist license required
Recent graduates are welcome to apply
Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills for patient care collaboration
