This opportunity seeks a skilled Pharmacist to provide dedicated night shift coverage in a hospital setting. Candidates will work a consistent 7-on, 7-off schedule during nighttime hours, delivering critical pharmacy services that support patient care and collaborate closely with medical staff.

Location: Orland Park, IL (near Chicago)

Schedule:

7 days on, 7 days off

9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Duration: 13 weeks+

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities: Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy

Supervise pharmacy technicians and support pharmacy operations

Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication management

Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient therapy

Utilize hospital systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication dispensing and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience: Active Illinois pharmacist license

Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Ability to work overnight shifts reliably

Strong communication and clinical skills

Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems a plus
