Job description
A specialty pharmacy in Waseca, MN is seeking an experienced pharmacist for a contract position expected to last 13+ weeks. This role offers an opportunity to work primarily in a Long Term Care setting, providing comprehensive pharmacy services that support patient health and medication management.
Position Details:
Location: Waseca, MN
Setting: Specialty Pharmacy
Duration: 13+ weeks contract
Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Some weekend shifts required
Responsibilities: Oversee the dispensing of medications with accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards
Provide clinical guidance on medication use in long-term care patients
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans
Manage pharmaceutical inventories and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Engage in patient counseling and education to promote medication adherence
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Minnesota
Proven experience in long-term care or specialty pharmacy environments
Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
