Overview
nScope of Responsibilities: Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
nJob Summary: Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.
nResponsibilities
nnnFollows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
n
nnPerforms all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
n
nnFollows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
n
nnOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
n
nnManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
n
nnInsures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
n
nnInsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
n
nnInsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
n
nnOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
n
nnMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
n
nnMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
n
nnMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
n
nnFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
n
nnWork on-call schedule, where applicable
n
nnInteracts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.
n
nnPerform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
n
nnAssists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
n
nnInterface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
n
nnResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned
n
n nQualifications
nEducation:
nnMinimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
n nJob Requirements:
nnnPossess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
n
nnAbility to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
n
n nJob Skills Required:
nnnStrong customer service and communication skills
n
nnStrong Organizational skills
n
nnBasic keyboarding skills
n
n nCompensation:
n$60.00 - $68.75 an hour
nThe final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
