n nThis position requires you to work within our licensed pharmacy in Stafford,TX and not from your home.

nHospital Pharmacist Remote Order Entry

nThrough our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals, providing you an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. Utilize your clinical skills - including monitoring, dosing and reviewing patient medication therapy - and leave the dispensing to the hospital. This unique approach to pharmacy operations results in flexible work schedules, a team environment and time for you to focus on what you do best - patient care.

nCardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacist to join our remote pharmacy team. Pharmacists will utilize their clinical skills to remotely service our clients' patients, and provide a top notch continuity of care.

nWork Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday, Daytime hours (10 hours shifts)

nResponsibilities:

nnnRemote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification

n

nnAssure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses

n

nnPerforms as staff pharmacist as needed

n

nnPhysician and nursing consultations

n

nnClinical medication dosing services

n

nnReview and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes

n

nnCoordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

n

n nQualifications:

nnnActive TX Pharmacist License Required

n

nn2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.

n

nnMust be willing to gain at least 5 additional licenses in the first 6 months

n

nnAbility to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.

n

nnComputer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.

n

nnExcellent communication skills to enable the successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care.

n

nnMust be willing and able to obtain 5 State licenses within the first 6 months

n

n nWhat is expected of you and others at this level

nnnApplies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks

n

nnWorks on projects of moderate scope and complexity

n

nnIdentifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve

n

nnApplies judgment within defined parameters

n

nnReceives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects

n

nnWork reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

n

n nAnticipated hourly range: $50.10 per hour - $64.53 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)
